Visiting or non-degree seeking students take a class or two without the intent of completing a degree or certificate at Anoka-Ramsey. As a visiting student, you benefit from Anoka-Ramsey's affordable tuition and flexible classes, but don’t qualify for financial aid.

You are a visiting student if...

  • You are planning to take select classes, but not complete a degree, diploma or certificate
  • You may currently be enrolled at another institution
  • You don’t plan to complete more than 8 credits per semester

What’s Next

You’ve registered, so what’s next? Explore next steps and resources for visiting students to help make your Anoka-Ramsey experience a success.

Optional Orientation

Online Orientation is not required for visiting students. However, you are still responsible for understanding the add/drop and payment deadlines, as well as Anoka-Ramsey's academic policies and how to access the technology required for your classes. Contact admissions if you would like to participate.

Set Up Your Payment for Tuition & Fees

Make sure your spot in class is guaranteed by paying your tuition by the payment deadline or arranging a payment plan. Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid through Anoka-Ramsey, but you may be eligible for a financial aid consortium agreement through your home institution.
