Welcome to Anoka-Ramsey Community College! Orientation is your opportunity to learn more about being a student at Anoka-Ramsey, including policies and resources available to support your success.

How to Begin Online Orientation

Orientation is available to all accepted, new first-time, transfer, PSEO and international students.

After you are admitted and your course placement is finalized, you will receive an email at your personal email address with instructions on how to log in and start online orientation.

What to Expect

Prepare for Registration

After you complete orientation, your next steps depend on your student type. Select the tab below to see what comes next.

What happens next:

  • Within 1–2 business days of completing online orientation, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor.
  • Your assigned advisor will email you with instructions on how to schedule your advising appointment.
  • During your appointment, you’ll plan your course schedule and prepare for the upcoming semester.

What happens next:

  • After completing all modules and the final quiz in orientation, you will receive a link to register for an On‑Campus Group PSEO Advising & Registration Session at either the Cambridge or Coon Rapids Campus.
  • These 90‑minute sessions include a short presentation followed by time with Academic Advisors to select your courses. Guest seating may be limited.
  • You must meet with an Academic Advisor before registering for your first‑semester courses.

Next Steps Before Registration:

  • You must pay the Mandatory International Student Medical Insurance in full before you can register. You can pay in person at the Business Office window or online through your Student eServices account under Bills and Payment.
  • After completing online orientation, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor.
  • You will receive an email with instructions for scheduling your one‑hour advising appointment required for registration.
  • International students are required by US‑CIS guidance to take on‑campus courses and register for a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
