The steps and resources below ensure you’re prepared, supported and ready for an inspiring first year at Anoka‑Ramsey Community College.

First-Year Experience (FYE) Course

The FYE course at Anoka-Ramsey is a two-credit class designed to help you start strong in your college journey. In FYE, you’ll connect with other new students, get to know supportive faculty and staff, and learn how to make the most of the college resources available to you – from advising and tutoring to campus life and career planning.

Prepare Your Finances

Financial aid can open important doors to help you pay for college through grants, scholarships or loans. Your access to it all starts with your FAFSA. If you have questions, the Financial Aid Office is here to help.

Set Up the Essentials

Your technology is your lifeline to class updates, instructor communication and campus resources.  

  • Download the Microsoft Outlook app to stay connected and never miss an update. 
  • Access student email, D2L Brightspace and eServices regularly to stay on track.

Why it matters: Reliable access gives you confidence and helps you stay rooted in your academic routine.

Technology Resources

Paying for college should feel manageable and transparent. Visit eServices → Bills and Payment to review your statement. 

  • Confirm your FAFSA is completed. 
  • Choose to pay in full, set up a payment plan or make a down payment of $300 or 15%, whichever is less. 
  • PSEO students do not need to make payment arrangements.

Ways to Pay Tuition

Get Ready for Your Classes

Get the materials you need to feel prepared from day one. Order textbooks and course materials through the Campus Store once they become available.

Textbook Ordering Opens:

  • Fall 2026 - Aug. 3, 2026

Campus Store

Your Student ID connects you to campus. With it, you have access to everything from resources to events. 

  • You must be registered for the semester to request your ID. 
  • Submit a recent photo following campus guidelines along with the Photo ID Request eform

Your ID will be mailed to the address in your student record (allow ~10 business days). 

Electronic Photo Submission Guidelines 

Photo Requirements:

  • Recent color photo of head and shoulders only (typically taken 3-5 feet away). 
  • Smile naturally. 
  • No other people or objects in the background. 
  • Photo should be taken in good lighting with no shadows or bright spots. 
  • Face and shoulders should be forward and centered. 
  • Photo orientation should be forward and level. 
  • Save the photo as a .jpg file. 

Photos will be rejected if they contain:

  • Someone other than yourself (e.g., animals, babies, parents, inanimate objects).
  • Sunglasses, hats, or other items obstructing the face or hair. 
  • Tilted heads, selfies, or glamour shots. 
  • Comical photos or gestures. 
  • Backgrounds that are not plain, solid white, or dark colors. 
  • Group photos. 
  • Low-quality, dark, or overexposed photos. 
  • Shirts with profanity or derogatory verbiage.
