Mental Health Resources

Life can get overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate tough moments alone. Explore the mental health and basic needs resources available to support your well‑being at Anoka‑Ramsey.

Sometimes students struggle to meet basic needs or experience mental health issues. These concerns are more common than you might realize. Anoka-Ramsey counselors are here to help you with support, resources and strategies for being okay.

Anoka-Ramsey has compiled a list of basic needs and mental health resources. The information is updated regularly. It contains a wide variety of resources from food insecurity help to mental health therapists, finances and much more.

Anoka-Ramsey has partnered with digital mental health provider Mantra Health to bring students diverse, high-quality mental health support.

This all-in-one platform gives students access to numerous free virtual services including:

  • 12 free one-on-one therapy sessions each year
  • Short, self-guided wellness courses
  • Emotional wellness coaching
  • Peer-to-peer support with Togetherall

Suicide and Self-Harm

If you feel suicidal or are in emotional crisis, call, text or chat 988 to connect with a trained crisis counselor. 988 offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. That could be:

Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional. 

We provide a brief, free online screening for mental health and substance abuse issues. This program is completely anonymous and confidential and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations and key resources.
