Anoka-Ramsey has compiled a list of basic needs and mental health resources. The information is updated regularly. It contains a wide variety of resources from food insecurity help to mental health therapists, finances and much more.
This all-in-one platform gives students access to numerous free virtual services including:
- 12 free one-on-one therapy sessions each year
- Short, self-guided wellness courses
- Emotional wellness coaching
- Peer-to-peer support with Togetherall

Suicide and Self-Harm
If you feel suicidal or are in emotional crisis, call, text or chat 988 to connect with a trained crisis counselor. 988 offers 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. That could be:
- Thoughts of suicide
- Mental health or substance use crisis, or
- Any other kind of emotion distress

Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional.
We provide a brief, free online screening for mental health and substance abuse issues. This program is completely anonymous and confidential and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations and key resources.

Exceptions to Confidentiality Policy
All information shared with a counselor is kept confidential. In other words, the conversations you have with your counselor will be kept private.
Exceptions to this policy are:
- If you voice a desire to hurt yourself or someone else
- If your counseling records are court ordered by a government official (i.e. a judge)
- If you report abuse or neglect of a minor (individual under the age of 18 years old) or a vulnerable adult
- Professional consultation

Current students can schedule personal counseling appointments using Navigate360 or by calling 763-433-1100. Be sure you to have your Star ID and password available for logging in to schedule an appointment.
