Enrollment increases at Anoka-Ramsey, Anoka Tech for fall 2025

For a third consecutive year, fall semester enrollment numbers at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and its aligned college, Anoka Technical College, have grown. As of the 30th day of fall semester 2025, credit headcount enrollment at the colleges:
- Increased 7% at Anoka-Ramsey Community College
- Increased 9% at Anoka Technical College
These increases follow fall 2024 semester increases of 4% at Anoka-Ramsey and 7% at Anoka Tech.
“It's exciting to see enrollment bouncing back to — and even beyond — pre-pandemic levels. It’s a real credit to the high-quality education and hands-on training our students get at both Anoka-Ramsey and Anoka Tech,” President Kent Hanson says, “With strong completion rates and a supportive community, our colleges continue to be a place where people come to build bright futures.”
Students are not just starting at Anoka-Ramsey and Anoka Tech in high numbers. They’re also staying and succeeding.
More than 53% of students at Anoka-Ramsey are completing credentials or transferring within three years; at Anoka Tech, nearly 68% of students are doing the same.
Anoka-Ramsey is celebrating its 60th anniversary during the 2025-26 academic year. Since 1965, the college has served more than 240,000 students on campus in Cambridge or Coon Rapids and online.
Anoka Tech will celebrate its 60th during the 2026-27 academic year.
Six decades in, the colleges continue their vital work providing extraordinary, affordable and accessible education.
“We all come here for a reason to better ourselves, to get better jobs and grow and learn. I think that’s important,” President Hanson says.
